Looking toward two of his Republican critics - Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, who will deliver his party’s response to Obama’s address on Tuesday night, and Governor Haley Barbour of Mississippi - Obama expressed irritation that the measure’s foes had singled out relatively small provisions to condemn the entire package.
"If we agree on 90 percent of this stuff, and we’re spending all of our time on television arguing about 1, 2, 3 percent," he said, "that starts to sound a little like politics."
And that is why they call it politics - it’s not any fun for the professional polititian if they can’t sit around and bitch about the 1-3% they don’t agree on!! That is what holds up change and progress.
Old school polititians that just want to complain about < 3% of their disagreement instead of moving forward and fixing this country.
I’m still under the impression on why Obama won such a blow out election last November is that people want Washington DC to really change this time.
